Dr. Bass was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, having graduated from Albright College magna cum laude with a BS degree in Biology. Following study at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, he graduated with an M.D. degree, attaining membership in the medical school honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha, and receiving the prestigious Isidore S. Ravdin Award. He then spent 3 years in post-graduate training, completing an Internship and Residency at Boston's Beth Israel Hospital.
From 1986 until 2007, Dr. Bass partnered with Dr. Martin Solomon in a well-respected Internal Medicine practice. During this time, Dr. Bass was listed as one of the city's and country's leading physicians, receiving commendation in the Brookline Tab, Boston Magazine, Town and Country Magazine, the America Online Digital City's Top Internist List for the Boston Area, Boston Consumers' Checkbook, and Best Doctors, Inc. |

Throughout his career, Dr. Bass has been very active in teaching and holds an Instructorship position at Harvard Medical School, and has been nominated for the Robert Stone teaching award. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
In September 2007, he began his partnership with Dr. Ronald Katz to form the practice of PersonalMDs, LLC, a membership practice aiming to provide the highest level of primary care, with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
Dr. Bass resides in Newton, MA, with his wife and 3 daughters
